Africa
Africa’s Hope is a ministry of AGWM Africa. We exist to facilitate training that equips the church in Africa to disciple the nations in the power of the Holy Spirit. Spirit-empowered, biblically trained leaders are the hope of Africa. Africa’s Hope equips and resources over 25,000 emerging leaders through the efforts of more than 380+ Bible colleges and extension training programs. These students carry the hope of the gospel and are highly dedicated to seeing a healthy church established within walking distance of every African. Now, more than ever, there is a renewed call to action. In the new decade ahead, our mission remains the same. By 2030, because of the faithful prayers and financial support from friends like you, our goal is to have thousands of new leaders fulfilling God’s call on their lives and bringing hope to their communities.
Association of Related Churches
The Association of Related Churches (ARC) serves as a beacon of hope for communities worldwide, primarily through its generosity and outreach. Since its inception, ARC has been committed to planting life-giving churches and fostering a culture of serving that extends far beyond Sunday. Central to this mission is the understanding that true generosity can transform lives and communities, creating lasting change. Through a combination of leadership, strategic partnerships, and community involvement, ARC churches are making a tangible impact on cities across the globe.
Colombia - Isaiah and Heather Mattocks
The Mattocks family lives in the beautiful city of Santa Marta, Colombia. They have the privilege to work along side veteran missionaries and plant churches all along the northern coast in Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta. Right now in Santa Marta alone, there are over about 30,000 Venezuelan refugees living on the streets. We are believing Matthew 9:37 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.” We are saying yes to the people who may feel no love, even from their country. A people who may have never heard there is a heavenly Father who loves them and wants a personal relationship with them. A Father who has a plan and purpose for each and every child living in those coastal cities.
Costa Rica - David and Amy Cartwright
We are David, Amy, Maggi, and Emma Cartwright. We are working in the country of Costa Rica. For the last 10 yrs we have worked with the indigenous groups. While we continue to work with these groups, our focus has shifted to building a premier leadership development tool. The Sarapiqui campus of the Alcance Bible school aims to provide both an undergraduate program and the first local graduate program in Central America for the Assemblies of God. It will provide theologial minisry leadership degrees as well as business and vocational degrees. The key to this school will be the addition of a business as mission element that will provide for the financial needs of the school. We will be building a retreat center, sports and special event venues, sustainable farm to table agricultural projects and an auto and metal fabrication shop. This will provide a work study program where the students earn their tuition and raise resources to plant churches and send missionaries around the world.
Dominican Republic - Adam and Melissa Tvedt
In baseball the double play is called "the pitchers best friend." A double play helps the defensive team get out of a difficult situation during the course of the game. Our purpose is to rescue those that are in difficult situations in life and Turn2 the one that can set them free and give them new life. By partnering with local churches we believe that lives, families, churches and communities will be forever changed by Turning2 Jesus! Our desire is to Reach, Restore and Release. We want to Reach families and young people in the DR by using baseball as a tool of outreach. We want to Restore their HOPE in the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ and then Release them to build the Kingdom of Heaven.

Ethopia - Jeff and julia peterson
Jeff and Julia Peterson are serving across Africa and have the incredible opportunity through Africa’s Hope to be involved in equipping and empowering African leaders to disciple the nations. There are currently thousands of African men and women who are called by God to go to difficult places and to plant and pastor churches. They are willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of the gospel, but they lack training and discipleship in their own language. We are honored to play a part in equipping them—by developing training materials in the major languages of Africa and by going to teach them—so that they are empowered to pastor local churches, to reach the lost and neglected in their own communities, to plant new churches, and to serve among unreached people groups.
